MDA's Annual Art Extravaganza and Talent Show

May 27, 2020

This year, MDA's Art Extravaganza and Talent Show went virtual!

The week-long art exhibition utilized a different virtual platform each day to showcase the creative work produced by our students throughout the school year. The artwork, created in school and at home during the shelter-in-place, included a variety of mediums such as sculpture, acrylic, collage, and watercolor.

One of the week's stand-out events was an abstract art workshop, led by local artist, KB Burgos, via Zoom. Burgos taught students how to use line drawing with cool and warm colors to create dynamic and dimensional graphic art. Culminating this week of creativity was the 3rd Annual Talent Show, broadcasted live via Youtube, featuring the wide-ranging skills of over 30 participants from students, faculty, and staff.

Thank you so much to Ms. Ray, Ms. W, and Chris Bjuland for all of the hard work that went into making this Art Extravaganza and Talent Show the best MDA has ever produced!
