Mission Dolores Academy | The education of tomorrow rooted in tradition.
Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

On May 28th, Mission Dolores Academy students and families safely gathered together in joyful celebration at the Graduation Mass for our Eighth Grade class.
In his moving homily to the graduates, Father Charles Gagan encouraged the students to continue the culture of kindness that they have experienced at MDA. He said, “you each have a unique gift that God has given you, and it is your job to develop it. Share your vision and your dreams with others. Make your mark and take with you all you have learned at MDA.”
Please give our graduates a round of applause for their resilience and flexibility during this highly unusual year. Join us in celebrating this extraordinary class! Listen to speeches, awards, and Head of School Meredith Essalat's heartwarming and meaningful message to the Class of 2021:
Reflections on 2021

What will you take with you from MDA as you enter high school?
"I think what will stick with me are the traditions. Just being nice to people and candidly being myself. Being a person of heart, faith, and courage."
How has MDA prepared you for high school?
"MDA gave me the work, helped me study, and kept me on task. There are a lot of resources available and teachers are always there to help - having that has helped prepare me well for high school."

What will you miss most about MDA?
"I will miss the community. I’ve been here since Kindergarten and I’m just so used to being at the school. I am going to miss my friends."
What is one of the most important lessons you have learned at MDA?
"Don’t waste your time. Be present, or else you’re going to miss out on opportunities that come once in a lifetime. So be attentive. Don’t lose track of where you’re going."
